psSquirrel WEB

An online archive database for links, texts, PDF files, pictures and other file formats.

Data may be organized in two classification levels. The program features a full text search engine for all files in ASCII and PDF format. Implementation in PHP, Javascript, MySQL (MariaDB), HTML, CSS.

version 2.3 (2005-2014, retired 2019)

A small live demo of psSquirrel WEB has been used as online link list to other web sites. Only a very limited feature set was shown; the software was much more powerful. It could handle multiple user logins, multiple database backends, multiple UI languages, text and binary upload (images and PDFs), full-text indexing of PDFs, etc. I used the PDF features for my own online searchable PDF library. This PHP software is being replaced by a newer database application, which is under development (see below).

psSquirrel Light (SQL)

A newer and simpler SQL database application is implemented in Go, Javascript, MySQL (MariaDB), HTML5, CSS. Instead of generating fresh views by the PHP server (psSquirrel WEB), the newer single-page Javascript application dynamically loads needed data from the server (Go). The application is embedded in the template. A live demo features selected book recommendations of my book shelf. version 0.9 (2019)
